Pin Bar Clamp Frame
Set up Information

FRAME LENGTH

Because frames grow in a heated oven, and distortions due to this growth may hamper the opening and closing of the frames we suggest that the "pin bar" portion of the frame be sectioned into  (3 CYL) max length.
In extremely large frames you may also want to back the multiframe with a thin wall steel tubing or angle for added strength.

Cylinder spacing should be no more than 24".

Removal of the orifice in the cylinders may cause undue wear and premature failure.

In this set up the mounting channel is placed flush on the outside of the frame opening. This will allow for a larger sheet size. Note that a slot or gap is required for frame removal. This is a must for bottom load applications.

Note:  Aluminum frame is shown for demonstration.

Clamp frame opening in a rotary or single station machine will normally be a rectangle configuration.

The long sections or  the, front and rear sections, will remain full length, adjustment being made by releasing and sliding frames forward and back.

When determining the sizes required for various end or removable sections begin with the smallest tool size. For each additional larger frame add a combination of sizes.     ie:  say your smallest frame is 30" x 24", insert an 24" end frame centered on the tool and 30" apart, slide front and rear frame to 24". To increase to 36" x 30" slide front and rear apart, add an additional 6" piece to each end, center each end on tool, slide front and rear in to 30".

Cylinder hose connections can be quick disconnect or male/female swivel, hoses can be various lengths, when using longer hoses put a coil or loop in the hose to keep it from hanging down.

We carry a variety of hose lengths and fitting styles, and remember that parts and pieces of existing frames can also be used.
