Panel Heaters offer many different infrared electric solutions including quartz composite face heaters, opaque fused quartz face heaters, and metal or glass face heaters. Common applications for the glass face heaters include operation as the bottom oven in a thermoforming machine. The glass heater can be constructed as wide as 24" and as long as 36" . Panel heaters have a maximum watt density of 20 watts/in2 and a durability defined by a typical life expectancy of 25,000 hours. It has a high radiant efficiency of 77.5%. Because the heater's design does not depend on an external reflector, the heater maintains a consistently high radiant efficiency over time.

Coil heaters can be used for softening plastics for compression molding or vacuum forming. Properly controlled, the desired temperature can be accurately maintained. The specular reflector projects a square heat pattern that provides even heat distribution with the emitter 8" away from the product. This eliminates hot and cold spots commonly found in round or trough-shaped reflectors. Aluminum or stainless steel reflectors can be covered with disposable reflectors.
